His birth was complicated because of forceps injuries that caused a damage to a facial nerve. It left him with a droopy eyelid and speech impairment. Stallone was just five when he returned to his family to Maryland and spent the majority of his time in boarding school. Stallone initially was with his father after the divorce of his parents in 1957, but at age 15 he married his mother in Philadelphia. Because of his history of being expelled from school, he attended the private school for troubled teenagers.
